Electronic Library of the Instituto Cervantes

Our electronic library offers multidisciplinary information sources and products with high scientific and academic value. Those resources provide reliable quality information for search. All Instituto Cervantes in Sydney library users have access to the electronic library.

The easy way to access the electronic contents is through the catalogue search. You can also access it through any of the resource platforms.

Audiobooks

An audiobook is a book read by a professional narrator and recorded in an audio format. They are downloaded as MP3s. Search the e-library catalogue, or access the platform.



Electronic books

Electronic books loan and download access. More than 10,000 titles about linguistics, Spanish as a foreign language, classic and contemporary fiction books from Spanish and Spanish American authors, history, arts, science and children books. Search the e-library catalogue, or access the platform.


E-resources

Yearbooks, bibliographies, directories, dictionaries, encyclopedias, databases, digital media, music and legislation. Search the e-library catalogue, or access the alphabetic list or subject list (all in Spanish).



Virtual reading club

The Instituto Cervantes Libraries Network offers its users a Virtual Reading Club. It’s one service of our electronic library that provides online social reading, allowing one to debate and discuss renowned works from Spanish or Spanish American literature. Debates follow a schedule and each title is moderated by one of our Network librarians. There are two conditions to participate: good Spanish level and a valid library user card. Terms and conditions

The electronic library is easy to access and navigate because of the specific, guiding nature which aims to offer any person connected to the Instituto Cervantes the electronic resources from their Libraries Network.
Links to external Web pages are provided. From there, Instituto Cervantes has no control and from there declines any responsibility for this links' contents.

In addition, it is forbidden to copy, distribute, transmit, adapt or modify, by any way or form, contents from website to electronic resources of the Network (texts, designs, graphics, information, databases, sound files and/or image, logos,…), and also stile elements, unless provided previous authorization from its legal owners or when it’s permitted by law.

It’s also forbidden -regarding aforementioned contents- for any commercial or advertising use different to that which is permitted. In tis case, the violation of any right caused thereby.

This documentation is available for the exclusive purpose of reading, studying and researching, its being subject by the stipulated in the Ley de Propiedad Intelectual (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/1996, de 12 de abril).
