How to apply CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) in class

As part of the Instituto Cervantes continuing professional training (FPC) program, we offer an online course, with follow-up by a tutor, on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) of 25 teaching hours.

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL / AICLE, in Spanish) is a methodology that is increasingly widespread at all levels of education. It is in a teacher´s interest to familiarise themselves with key concepts, specific features to take into account when planning lessons and how to apply it in a teaching context.

Throughout the course How to apply CLIL in the classroom, a tutor will organise learning materials and provide support at all times. Tools of communication (blogs, wikis, and forums, amongst others) are used for sharing knowledge. On completing the course, participants will have the necessary resources for planning lesson according to the CLIL methodology and the ability to apply it to their teaching practice.

Prior teaching experience and academic training as a teacher is required to participate in this course.

Price: £ 250 (Gibraltar teachers get 80% discount)

Participants in the course will receive a certificate of achievement issued by the Instituto Cervantes. To obtain the certificate, it will be necessary to carry out the course activities, participate in the forums, blogs and wikis opened by the tutor and plan a didactic sequence.
